Hartbee****rt Vodacom in Village mall an absolute joke!!

on the 02 August 2016 i handed my Samsung S5 in to Vodacom Hartbee****rt for a screen repair as the phone was still under its warranty and was given the Job card number ********** 4. The phone was sent to the advanced repair centre and returned to the store unrepaired. The store technician notified me telephonically of this mistake and advised that they had spoken with the manager Paul Naude from the advanced service centre and they needed to book the phone back in whereby they ensured the phone would be repaired.

On the 19 August 2016 the phone was booked in again and sent back to the advanced repair centre to have the screen repaired with a new job number ********** 0. When the phone returned to the repair centre for the second time a number of issues began to play out. The first of which was that the phone was no longer under warranty as it expired on the 21 August. The second issue that was raised was that the phone now had water damage and that that in order to repair this the repair centre would need to send through a quotation which i declined. The next issue to arise was that the phone does not have a screen repair option which is clearly either untrue or a false advertising campaign as the S5 came with two free screen repairs and due to this the reason why i chose the phone and brand. I declined the quotation of approximately 6000 and stated that the phone was handed in whilst still in warranty and the phone needs to be repaired and sent back to the store.

The last communication was that the phone had been dispatched which was around December and none of the technicians were able to confirm that the phone had been repaired. After constant visits to the store and communication with a service technician with no responses i returned to the store at the end of February to find that the technician i was dealing with had been fired.

To date the 22 March 2017 the store is unable to locate my phone or put me in contact with a suitable person to resolve this issue. Numerous requests for the store owner and managers contact details were declined i am still without my mobile phone which has been fully paid for.

After 7 months one can only assume that the phone has been lost or ******. It is totally unacceptable that the end user and client is requested to follow up with the advanced repair centres manager to locate the device. As for Vodacom there seems to be no person in a position to resolve these issues and this kind of service is totally unacceptable. I have another phone which needs to be repaired but am unable to have this repaired as i can not be without a phone.

Regards

Ryan Hobson
