Harrassment and disappointed
I used to hold Vodacom in high esteem untill I got a taste of harrassment from some of the workers there. I got a job at the car wash on-site and was very excited and training went on until we had to start working. One morning whilest giving out fliers we just got harrassed by a Guy called Jacko in charge of security and ordered to leave the premises but we asked him to negotiate with our employer as we were just asked. He later went out of his way to stop the opeation altogether to proove his supremacy with the help of another lady called Lebo in charge of facilities. We now don't have jobs and we have to wait for them to decide our fate. This was women'a month and we expected another woman to have a heart for some of us who are trying to make a living through washing cars. The level of harrassment was so bad you wonder if we are really free as fellow South Africans with the way we treat one another.I'm now jobless whilest someone goes to work to bring other women down and proove her power. Two weeks later after operations where shut down we were told our employer is now waiting for Lebo (facilities) to give a date when a demo can be done for her to approve the service again and this can only happen when she has time which means its indefinately.Where should we ran to as south Africans if huge organizations incubate such people who look down at us as the less privileges. The cars we were washing belonged to the employees who also paid for the service. To say the least I am very disappointed and hope this matter is looked into as most of us are now going on hungry stomachs because of office Politics.I did not expect such treatment from such a reputable company like Vodacom not even during women'a month. We are now hopeless and very disappointed with this. To those who are in decision making position lets Learn to understand the plea of the under privileged as we are only trying to make a living and survive without committing crime.Vodacom we hope you intervene in this situation. Very sad and disappointed really.Someone should speak to this people to hear US as our kids are going hungry whilest they go home are able to provide for their families ITS SAD AND PAINFUL TO SEE ANOTHER WOMAN HUNGRY AND YOUR VERY HOPE OF PROVISION IS TAKEN AWAY.
