Hard up for money???
This is my first public complaint after my first email, after 5 phone calls to try and get my contract cancelled. Email ***
On the 16th March at 11:09am, I spoke to a guy, can't remember his name, and advised that I would like to cancel my contract, due to the fact that I barely use it.
He tried to sell me something else and I advised that I am not interested, that I do not want it and that I just want my contract cancelled.
He confirmed that the contract will be cancelled as of the end of April.
Cut to the 30th March, I get an sms saying my new contract for the above number has been upgraded and I am now due to pay R79 a month.
I called AGAIN, and spoke to Palela on the 30th March at 09:59am.
She advised that she would call me back in a few minutes, as they would just like to listen to the call. Totally get that, there are a lot of ***** people out there.
However, by the next day there had still not been a call back from her.
So, I called AGAIN, and spoke to Lerato on the 31st March at 07:57am.
She advised that Palela had in fact not cancelled my contract, but had reverted it back to the 20gig data contract.
I really did try and contain the utter rage and frustration I was and still am feeling. I mean who gave these agents the right to just upgrade and change the details as they see fit????
Anyway, I asked her AGAIN to cancel the contract. I'm pretty sure by now I have advised your agents at least a 100 times that I WANT TO CANCEL MY CONTRACT.
She promised me to the moon and back that it has been cancelled and that I would be getting an sms or email to confirm.
Which brings us to today, the 1st of April. I have still not received a notification or a call back from Palela.
I called AGAIN, and spoke to Anthony at 10:45. He was kind enough to advise that I have been switched back to the 5gig data contract. I advised again that all I want is for my contract to be cancelled.
He advised he would be placing me on hold to look into the account. I went from hold, to mute to dead. He was kind enough to drop the call. Maybe he was having a bad day and just didn't feel like dealing with this account. But quite honestly, I don't care.
I waited a few minutes, thinking he might call me back, but it was a fruitless wait.
So.... Guess what???? I called AGAIN, and for those of you who have lost count, that was call number 5.
I spoke to Nathaniel at 10:51. He seemed a bit lost in the fog when I advised that the call was dropped by Anthony, but came around quick enough and tried to resolve the issue.
He advised that Anthony had done nothing and had left no notes or anything. Thanks for that Anthony.... But anyway, I advised him on why I was calling yet again, and after a lengthy DPA we were finally able to view the account.
He advised that he would cancel the contract. Now forgive me for not believing him, but past experience has burnt my fingers too many times.
I now write to you as well, to get the contract cancelled.
Now, as far as my knowledge goes, it is ******* to set someone up on a contract that they did not agree to, am I right?
Therefore, I want my contract cancelled immediately. And I'm pretty sure you can waive the last month's fees due to the inconvenience your company and agents have caused.
I sincerely look forward to hearing from you, and I do hope it is a speedy reply.
Kind Regards,
Natasja Clelland
