handling of a deceased contract

A deceased estate was reported on Friday, 5'th of March for my father. Since then, we have been trying to get the account transferred to his daughter, but no luck. Apparently, Vodacom feels that if you are a 21-year-old student, has an income of R4200 per month, R1000 expenses and R70 000 in savings, you do not qualify to have your dead fathers account transferred to you.

I guess if they sold us a new contract, she would qualify? Looks like spending energy on an existing customer is not justifiable for some companies. Maybe they feel it's more rewarding to spend that energy on new customers.

Above and beyond this very, very poor service, the fully paid up line has been suspended this morning, without any warning. The team handling the deceased account also has no contact details. Pathetic.

Never will I do business with Vodacom out of my own free will.
