HANDING OVER THE **********LY RENEWED CONTRACT CELL PHONE
I took out the contract in the past three to four years in which the payment method was arranged through the debit order. The contract lapsed and after a year or so (2017 February,Vodacom went into my account and debit an amount of over R8000.I phoned Vodacom to get clarity on the matter and they told me that the contract was renewed. I told Vodacom that i never renewed the contract. They advised me to write an affidavit to confirm that i never renewed the contract which i did.A year later (February 2018),i received a call from one of the collecting legal firms, who bombarded me with a lot of Messages and calls about an overdue Vodacom account in which i was told am owing an amount of over R6000.I tried to advise the collecting agents that my account has since lapsed and i fail to understand why Vodacom was so quiet until until they reach a conclusion of handing over that ********** renewed contract. I am suspecting that Vodacom workers(The one working on renewing and issuing contracts) are involved in these ******* activity of renewing contracts because Vodacom can tell of where and when did one opened the contract and how received the handset,But fails to tell the same with the ********** one.I agreed to pay that over R6000 and was saved by the affidavit i find and sent to vodacom. If i couldn't have found the affidavit,i were to give Vodacom R6000 for free for not clearing all the resolved ********** matters (Which i suspect i internal) from happening. Vodacom must come to tell why they handed the ********** matter for collection after a year even if they assured me that was closed, because i deem these as ***** also from Vodacom who didn't closed the account but wait for the year only to re-open it.I am grateful and learnt that affidavits doesn't have to be thrown away even if the the unreliable service providers like Vodacom can give one an assurance to do so.
