Handing out customer details to Elite Broadband

I find it absolutely unacceptable that Vodacom is handling out my personal details to Elite Broadband so that I can get spammed.

They called me, provided my full names and said I am a longstanding customer of Vodacom and that they want to award me. They are selling a tablet for R99 a month. This is absolutely unacceptable. Shame to you Vodacom.

But this is not all. They denied that they are selling something to me and said to me since I am not happy with what they are saying they well not remove my name from the database to avoid future spam. This is completely against the POPI act and I find it disgusting that Vodacom is interaction with these people and handing over our details.

I want this to be followed up and confirmed that action was taken agains Elite Broadband. Also - who inside Vodacom is responsible for providing the customer details to 3rd parties without our consent?
