Handed over with no further communication

In December 2016 I cancelled all my Vodacom contracts and paid more than R13000 in penalties. Later that month I got a call from Vodacom telling me that I still owe them a month's premiums. I told them that I cancelled and paid the penalties but they insisted that I still owed them for the month of November. I told them that the premium did deduct from my bank account and they told me to send them the proof to ********** I did that. From there I heard nothing until yesterday when a collection company phoned me to say I have been handed over and now I have to pay the premium plus collection penalties. I refuse to pay anything since they have not contacted me after I send them the proof and after paying more than R13000 in penalties and getting my contracts cancelled on that same day I could not use the services that I used to pay for so how can they expect me to pay for anything further, Please avoid Vodacom because they are not striving for customer satisfaction but is only interested in money.
