Handed over

Hello.. Iv been using vodacom contract since 2010,until 2017 when vodacom upgraded my other number without my consent, i reported ***** and they discounted me on a condition that i pay R4100 then thr contract will be terminated. I paid that amount at brits standard bank, took my proof of payment to brits mall vodacom, i even called vodacom accounts to confirm if they received my payment, they confirmed, but few months later i get calls from attire claiming that i was handed over, i contacted vodacom legal, and they confirmed im not owing, and they promised to talk to attorneys, still today nothing, now i cant qualify for a home loan because of this situation. Please help
