HANDCUFFED BY VODACOM

On or around the 9th August 2016, i visited the Vodacom Cresta branch to upgrade my contract to the Samsung S7 Pink Gold, on day 5 - my phone had overheated and the battery life didn't even last a day, so i took the phone back (the sales assistant could feel that the phone was still warm - 8 hours later) he then went on to explain that it wasn't normal as Samsung had built some new cooling system into their devices which is meant to keep the phone cool. i was told that the phone would be sent in for assessments and i would be updated, a week later, i had received NO response and therefore started following up, eventually two weeks later after consistently calling the store, i was advised that there was nothing wrong with the phone and would need to take it back, naturally, i was not satisfied with the response, especially after the sales assistant himself had said to me that it was not normal for the phone to overheat. The manager explained that the only thing they could do was resend it back to Samsung and this would take a further 5 days - WELL, it has been TWO WEEKS now and i have not received any feedback or follow up, again, i had to call the store to find out and i was advised that i would be contacted with an answer (this was on Friday 2nd September 2016) i have not received any feedback.

i have been a loyal customer with vodacom for years, this is unacceptable and i would like some feedback please. I feel helpless as i am paying for something that i don't have, it's almost a month and i haven't recived any feedback to date.

Best regards,
Please note that i have not been contacted, instead - i received an e-mail to contact a call centre or send an e-mail to an escaltions department.
I should not have to be following up for something that i am paying for!
