Gross collective incompetence
To summarise our ordeal with Vodacom: We received confirmation of our order to move our line on 24 October 2022, and later received our router. As of 11 January 2023, we're still not connected. After giving Vodacom grace through the whole of November 2022, we finally enquired on 6 December 2022 to find out why no team had come to our house to install the fibre? Eventually one consultant told us that the system shows we have fibre installed, however as needed to be proven to consultant, the system displayed the incorrect address. Then on December 10 a tech from Vumatel arrived at our house after being directed away from the wrong address and confirmed, in person, that we had no fibre installation. However nothing came of that and we still don't have fibre installed. A Vuma consultant then corrected the address on the system, however the last 3 Vodacom consultants still insist we have fibre installed on the property. We sent proof of address 3 separate times, including pictures of the property taken from Google maps and they still can't get it right. We have dealt with 6 or 7 consultants and each time we're told that they are looking into it and they'll get back to us. This includes email which we have on record. Instead, they ignore us and hope the problem will go away. We have wasted time and airtime pleading with Vodacom to send someone to get us connected and they've simply kept us on a string. Multiple consultants have closed tickets without resolving the issue. How can Vodacom call themselves an internet service provider if they fail to live up to the title and actually provide the service? At this point we've given up. It's clear you don't value your customers and we have no choice but to cancel this "service".
