Great Service from an individual, where the rest were not prepared to

My friend signed up for Vodacom Fibre, after being approached that it would be available in his area. Long story short, after more than 5 hours on the phone and weeks (that turned into more than a month), we finally found a man named Algnon.

He is the first person to not fight with us and has looked to see what went wrong. The issue has been escalated to a manager (something that hasn't happened in all the service orders that have been logged) and we await feedback tomorrow.

Vodacom have treated my friend very poorly here, it took fighting with the company every day on the phone for weeks on end to find someone who cared enough to assist.

One agent even recommended that he borrow money and pay the account and then claim it back from Vodacom later. Shocking service for a long time Vodacom client. How many hours do you need to spend on the phone to fix a billing issue with Vodacom? What is your turn around time for service orders? As this one has been open for more than a month already. The terms of the agreement were broken by Vodacom and they even sent him 2 routers as they had activated the incorrect MAC address for his service. I sat with my friend during the signup process, talked to the consultants myself and verified what was happening every step of the way, that is why I feel that I can log this myself, even though I was not directly the client.

Hoping for a positive outcome here.

Reviewer Update
The issue is not resolved.
My friend gets robo called by Vodacom 10 times a day to ask him to pay his account, but nothing in writing.
When managers can help, but don't who is the next person we go to?
Must we email the CEO to get this resolved?
