Goodbye to bad service goodbye to Vodacom

Two years ago I opened a contract with Vodacom and it was the biggest F up ever. Vodacom failed to activate the phone and my number and I waited two weeks for my phone because of poor stock management.

Today I went to upgrade my phone and knowing how useless Vodacom is I went in to the Vodashop two weeks in advance to make sure they get stock of the HTC M9. I thought the upgrade would be a simple process but once again Vodacom has shined with incompetence and poor service. The staff member that was helping me at the Vodashop was on the phone for 10 minutes as they could not help me in the shop because I was moved by Vodacom to a new system so they had to call Vodacom who just put the phone down on the guy helping me while he was looking for the deal number.

The Vodashop staff then told they have to call Vodacom again because they could not find the HTC M9 on the deal sheet. The Vodashop staff member then had to call the Vodacom call centre back who had previously put the phone down on them and was then told to phone another department who took 10 minutes to answer the phone. This department was also unable to help so the Vodashop had to send a copy of my ID to get a deal number that will take between 24 and 48 hours.

I spent an hour in the Vodashop being F around including R8 for parking and walked out the shop red face with no phone.

Cancelling my contract and moving to MTN I am done with you Vodacom.

On behalf of Vodacom, kindly accept our sincere apology for the manner in which your enquiry was dealt with and for any inconvenience caused.
This is certainly not in line with Vodacom's aim in achieving service excellence. Please be advised that you can proceed with an online upgrade by registering on the Vodacom portal: www.vodacom.co.za Alternately you can dial ***4 (tollfree from a Vodacom sim).
Thank you for the time and effort taken to voice your dissatisfaction to our office. It is with the cooperation and feedback from valued clients such as yourself that we are able to identify any possible improvement areas in our organization.

I cannot see how upgrading online will help me. The HTC M9 is nowhere to be found on your website just like on your deal sheet. I was contacted last week by phone and told that somebody is working on this and a week later I still don’t have my upgrade phone. This has now been going on for a week and I still don’t have my upgrade. I have now been told this morning that HTC M9 is not available on contract.
What infuriates me is that if you read my post you would have noticed that I am looking for the HTC M9 and knowing very well that this phone has no deal you have directed me to your website. This has become a joke it really has.
Tell me Vodacom what will it take to solve this problem another week two weeks three weeks. I would be only too happy to cancel my contract but I am locked in for another three months which really grinds me because from day once my experience with Vodacom has been unpleasant stressful frustrating and painful and still continues to be.
