Going from Prepaid to Contract

I phoned Vodacom on Tuesday, 2 August to hear if they have the Samsung S7 Edge pink in stock, they did have it in stock so on Tuesday after work I went to the store. I already have a tablet on contract with Vodacom but I wanted to take out a phone contract but wanted to keep my prepaid number. After 4: consultants working on the computer and not one having the decency to discuss with me what is going on, they said that it is not them that have a problem with my number but that they will need to contact IT as they are now running a new sistem. The one consultant informed me that it would take 24 hrs to reslove and that he would log the call on wednesday morning. Thursday I phoned again to hear how far the process is. Left a message and they didn't phone me back. I went to the online chat where the consultant phoned me and she promised to phone me back after she spoke to a senior manager. That never happened. Friday I phoned the store again just after 9:00 and the lady that answered the phone said that the IT people are there now, I left my number and she said she will phone me back. Never did. 11:00 I phoned again and asked to speak to a manager. She said she will phone me back. I posted on their FB page aswell hoping that this will get things resolved. I heard nothing back. Only after I posted a second time on FB saying that I haven't received any feedback did someone from the Social media team phone me. He phoned the store and eventually a lady from the store phoned me back and said that they are so busy and that they finally have a reference number for putting my prepaid number on their new system so that I can take out a contract. So this sounded like they only logged the call on friday. The lady said that it should be sorted by saturday morning and that they will give me a call to keep me updated. Once again they didn't phone me. This morning I sent their social media team a message and posted on their FB page again at how terrrible their customer service is. The guy phoned me back and I explained to him that I need to keep following up with the store. The manager phoned and she said that it will only be resolved between the 16-19 August now as the IT team only put numbers over once a month. When I asked if the contract will then be pro-rata for he month as it is them who is delaying the process she just said that it depends on what contract I take out. I asked if the contract that I want will then carry on for September as it is silly paying for a whole month if they are delaying the process then I will rather start the contract from 1 September. While asking the questions she kept having a attitude over the phone. She said that I must bring in my form so that they can start the process as soon as the number/sistem issue is sorted out. This seems risky to me to give in a signed form if they can't even tell me if the amount will be pro rata for the month or not. The social media team phoned me again. He asked if the lady phoned and I expressed my disgust at how long this process is taking and with which tone the lady from the Vodacom and Vodacare store in Centurion mall spoke to me. I also siad that they can't expect me to pay for a full month if they are delaying the process and that I am highly disgusted that now it will only be sorted between 16-19 August. He said that he will phone the store. This was around 12:00 and it is now 14:00. Still waiting to get some sort of response. This is really terrible service and having to follow up with them the whole time is taking out a lot of time out of my day. Don't know how it goes from 24 hours to 48 hours to sturday morning and now to the 16-19 of August. This is supose to be a simply process as I am already on a contract with them. But having to follow up with them the whole time and they promising to phone back the whole time or to get it sorted and everytime they give me another excuse when I phone and a different date by when it will get sorted is disgusting.

I really hope that this issue can get sorted out as this is a very unpleasurable experience with your company. Getting a new phone is suppose to be something nice and a treat, but having to be stuffed around like this and then treated rudely by Vodacom staff is not a nice experience. I have been supporting Vodacom for 10 years now, so getting treated like this is a disgrace. Please get a way of sorting out this problem as this is a problem with your new system. I still haven't heard back from your social media team or ayone for this matter.

Xolelani from the Social Media team has been constantly following up with me to see about the assistance the store is offering. I will really appreciate it if someone in your IT department or a senior manager can help him to get the issue sorted on your system so that I can put my Prepaid number over to contract.
