Gigantic Bill

On 31 December, I received an sms from the bank after a debit order deduction. I almost collapsed as Vodacom had deducted R13,405.33 from my account. I called their customer services immediately and was told that most of the amount is for data charges. I have a cap on my data and then it's locked or I purchase more data.

The rep at Customer Services was quite helpful but could only log an enquiry. He said I could expect someon to call within at least 48 hours. To date I have not heard a word from anybody and find it impossible to get through.

PLEASE some help or advice.

Thanks

MJ

Since the reply from Vodacom ("Thank you for making us aware of your complaint. Kindly be advised that a consultant will make contact with you in due course to assist with your query"), I have called Customer Services twice hoping for an update. As the Accounts department deals with this, I was assured that a note would be placed on the system for them to call me. My last contact was on Sunday 15 January and the request was made to kindly mark the entry into the system as "Extremely Urgent". To date no contact has been made and this dire situation is no closer to being solved.

Vodacom did respond by email and I am delighted to say the matter has been resolved. I actually applaud Vodacom for the way my query was handled today. Thank you.

I would like to urge data users to get their networks to give you all the monitoring data hints and tips as this was invaluable to me. There is a lot of technical things I do not understand in the email but suffice it to say I am thrilled with the outcome.

Thank you Vodacom (and Hellopeter).
