getting a Faulty Sony Experia

I purchased A Sony Experia E3 on the 12th January 15 online. When I received it I charged the phone & when I put the sim card into the fone started giving problems because when I wanted to check my balance on the phone it gave me another language soon after that it didn't register the sim card so when I got the chance I sent it in to New Town Junction Vodacom shop so that it can be taken in for repairs. I waited about a week or so & when I went to collect it they guy said that they checked the fone & apparently the pins that keeps the sim card is broken and that its irreparable. So can someone please get back to me and resolve this matter because I paid for the phone.
