Further Bungling from Vodacom

Well it appears that Vodacom just cannot do anything right. After my last saga where my data contract was erroneously upgraded onto my phone line just as I was leaving for 3 weeks in Europe and I lost all phone capabilities and even the supposed data didnt work, it took Vodacom 1 whole month to swap the data contract back to the data sim. I have had protracted calls with them since the end of July, today I spent over 2 hours on the phone to them, these are hours of my life that I will never get back. I called them today initially in an obvious fit of madness to find out if they had resolved it and if my phone line was ready for renewal. They confirmed that it was and so I proceeded to the store to get a new phone and accessories. Lo and behold, while my newly upgraded data line had beem pit omto the correct sim it was still available for an upgrade. It shouldbt be because its just been done but my phone line which is due for upgrade, and while their system confirms this it wont allow for an upgrade as it says it has already been done, even though it hasnt. Please be careful if you are loaded onto Vodacom's new system as now takes 7 days to resolve issues instead of almost immediately like on the old system. I dont know how much more I can take from Vodacom but they are losing the plot and will definitely be losing more clients like me to their competitors. Also please dont believe Hello Peters site when it says almost immediately that Vodacom have rep**** because it is just an automated response from Vodacom saying that some undisclosed person will respond at some unspecified time. That is not a real response in any sense of responding. Shame on Vodacom, very, very poor service! They should be embarassed and very worried that their new system may be a backwards step and very costly. I personally think that they just simply do not care. (Too big to fail, I certainly hope not.)
