Furious due to ridiculous rates and incorrect acount information

My issues and frustrations with Vodacom started in June (with the exceptionally high data usage cost of R5 000 which came through out of the blue). Since then I have had non-stop issues and confusions with regards to my account. In fact, I have had to visit the Vodashop on several occasions due to conflicting information from myvodacom online, as well as the Vodacom CallCentre and Accounts departments, which then lead to me getting yet a different answer from the manager at the Vodashop.

Please see attached account printout:

My bill went from a general +- R1 500 per month for the last year (while I was on my father’s account – N ********** 28) to R2 626.67 for the month of June. Although my account almost doubled that month, I paid the amount due.

In July, however, I was charged R3 125.67 for the month. This after adding a data bundle of 5gig to both my cellphone and wifi accounts, as advice by a Vodacom consultant “in order to save on excessive out of data bundle rates”. As you can see this did not save me money, but rather increased my account by +- R600. So, my account which had been +- R1 500 per month for the past year had now increased to over R3 0000 – a ludicrous increase amount which I raised with all of the above Vodacom contacts, none of whom could explain the excessive increase.

I was also told by the same Vodacom Consultant that I should change my package to the SmartL package, as this would set a limit on my call costs and data. Basically, I am now pretty much on a pay-as-you-go package, however my account has not decreased in the least. I, however, have had to buy more than R500 airtime over and above my exorbitant contract amount.

Then there was the issue of me calling the accounts department in order to make a payment, being told that my outstanding account was R933.85, while it was in fact R2 826.67. Please explain how such a difference in amount is even physically possible?!

In August 2016 (after no communication that my account was in arrears – in fact I was told by the manager at the Vodashop that my account was at R0 on 01.08.2016 after I personally went there to check my account balance) I was then charged for the ‘outstanding amount’ (of which I knew nothing about) as well as my account for August of R1 188.19, thus being debitted for a very an unexpected R3 580.01, which I had to reverse as I had no idea how such a large amount could be possible as remember, I was told at the beginning of the month that my account was on R0!!

I am furious, as now not only do I have to find the extra money due, but my credit record has also been impacted by this stuff-up.

Please could someone get back to me URGENTLY and let me know how Vodacom is going to resolve these issue?! I would also like to know how 4 different VODACOM platforms can ALL give me different amount due on the same day?!?! And how are you going to fix this massive issue going forward?!
