Frustration with Vodacom: Ongoing Issues with Fibre Contract Renewal
I am writing to express my deep frustration with Vodacom regarding the continual issues I have faced while trying to renew my fibre contract.
On 9 July, I accepted a new contract (Sales Order #SO***) for R699 per month, which included a R200 discount for the first two months. Since then, I have endured relentless internet disruptions, and despite countless requests, no technicians have bothered to visit my home to resolve these ongoing problems.
To add insult to injury, my account continues to be debited at R829.14, with minimal feedback about the status of my contract. I was assured by Sachin Jordaan that I would be billed pro-rata, yet my account remains unchanged. This is unacceptable.
Furthermore, I received a newsletter on 1 April 2024, promoting a revised package that includes a 50Mbps fibre line and uncapped data for R699. Despite my repeated attempts to switch to this package, I am still trapped in the same contract, having signed two agreements—one on 9 July and another on 2 September.
During my last conversation with Emily Aricksamy, I was promised that my second order (SO***) would be processed without any issues. Yet, here I am, still facing the same problems and incorrect billing.
Most recently, I spoke with Carol in Fibre and Billing, who claimed she would follow up with me on 2 October. I am tired of empty promises and delays. I demand the reinstatement of my original quote from 9 July, including a refund for the difference over the past months. I expect to pay R499 for the first three months and R699 thereafter, as originally agreed.
As a long-time Vodacom customer, I deserve far better than this. It is utterly disappointing to experience such ongoing difficulties, and I urge you to escalate this matter immediately.
Thank you for your attention to this pressing issue.
