Frustration with cancellations

I HAVE NEVER BEFORE RESORTED TO POSTING ON HELLOPETER, BUT AFTER STRUGGELING FOR SOME TIME NOW, I HOPE THAT THIS WOULD REACH SOMEONE WILLING TO ASSIST ME.

I emailed Vodacom customer service also, but got no response from them. I am quite unhappy with the amount of obstacles one has to overcome to cancel a contract.

Upon visiting the branch closest to me (Middelburg Mall), I was told that they cannot assist me with cancellations in store and that I have to phone ***. I received 2 phone calls from Vodacom stating that my one contract has expired and they asked me if I want to upgrade. I said no, I lost the device more than a year ago and I do not wish to upgrade this contract at all. So I phoned the cancellation number, just to be told that it is too early to cancel my contract and that I have to phone again in September. Yesterday I phoned this number again, twice. I can’t even get through to an operator, because the automated voice tells me that the number I entered does not exist.

I request once again for assistance from anyone in Vodacom willing to assist me with a cancellation of one of my contracts (the 5gig device). Not both. I wish to keep my cellular contract. I have been paying faithfully for this device even though it has been lost for a long time, as it is not Vodacom’s fault that I lost the device. But please assist me in cancelling this contract. I would like to receive proof that it has been cancelled and for it NOT to be debited form my bank account again.
