Frustration trying to cancel a contract

I installed a fibre line at home in July 2020. I was told I could not cancel my 3G contract despite having installing a fibre line with Vodacom as my 3G contract still ran until March 2021. In March 2021 I telephonically cancelled my 3G contract as I no longer required it. Then during July I received a call from a Vodacom sales person trying to upgrade my 3G contract to one which offered more data. I explained that I no longer had this contact as it was cancelled in March to which I was told it wasn't and I was still being billed. However, because it's debited along with my cell phone and fibre line I did not realise I was still being billed. Trying to get through to Vodacom cancellations has been an absolute nightmare as you cannot speak to a consultant - you need to use the voice prompts and then get told you will receive an SMS and email. However, you only receive an SMS saying you will receive and SMS and email and this does not serve as cancellation but then never receive the so called sms and email. Alternatively you receive the following message 'our lines are busy try again later' and then get cut off without being able to speak to anyone. I eventually after a week of trying have had to go through the lengthy process via customer care to try to get this issue resolved. Prior to managing to finally speak to someone, the system also told me that Vodacom does not recognise my number when prompted to provide the number your query relates to?? So it's interesting the system doesn't recognise my number but can continue billing me for this number for 5 months post my cancellation. This entire process has been utterly frustrating and in future I highly doubt I will ever take another product through Vodacom - for the simple fact of how frustrating and un-user friendly the service process has been.
