Frustration !

I first opened my Vodacom account twenty years ago . Vodamail use your cell number plus “@vodamail.co.za” as your email address allowing you to add five alias to make the emails more easily identifiable . Since inception I have always used the same email address which utilises the underscore symbol . Suddenly I stopped receiving emails and after much searching found that the alias I have always been using has been deleted without any advices from Vodacom and when trying to re-register , an error message comes up that states an underscore is not permissible .

Now the fun begins ! After numerous calls and online chats where I fail my security questions and therefore cannot get further assistance I am told that I should go to the nearest Vodacom outlet to resolve but Channel Walk could not help me . Nobody would tell me which question I failed but eventually I find out , after a process of elimination , that despite over ten upgrades , Vodacom never updated my ID when the last three digits changed at the time of the change by Home Affairs from the Blue Book to the Green bar coded book .

So now I pass the security questions (using the incorrect ID number !) and after more phone calls , emails and online chats I obtain with two reference numbers but still I am unable to receive or re-register my original alias . And when I follow up on the reference numbers am advised the query has been resolved !!!

Today all invoices , tax certificates etc , etc come electronically so do I have to notify all parties of my change of email address , over 100 parties, including Vodacom Accounts , or will this be rectified ?

What type of service are you offering Vodacom whereby you delete email address without advices , do not follow up with the client on reference numbers , close calls without resolution and only find out that Client personal details captured are incorrect (been changed) despite the correct ID having been presented at least ten times over the years ?
