FRUSTRATING INDIFFERENCE FROM ALOOF VODACOM
In July 2014, I informed Vodacom that some ************ individual had used my personal details to activate two cell phone contracts without my knowledge or permission. Despite my being the whistleblower, Vodacom decided to report 'non-payment' of the account to TransUnion. I only found out about the 'misconduct' reference on my credit profile in March 2015. I received an apology on HelloPeter just hours after my initial posting on 31 March 2015 and then a call the following day from Alistair Klein, promising a written apology within three days. I have since also emailed the CEO, Mr Joosub, attaching an affidavit, but have received no response. It has taken Vodacom 18 days to do absolutely nothing. Thanks guys, your shocking service really takes the cake.<br> It is abundantly clear that Vodacom are disgracefully inefficient and uncaring. Sad that they have allowed this incident to adversely affect the person who ultimately saved them thousands of rands by reporting the incident and alerted them to block the offending cell numbers immediately. I would appreciate being able to clear my name. I should be afforded an opportunity to do so - after all, I'm the good guy.
