Frustrating incompetence
Very frustrated! My husband's phone was on my name. Last year he went to the Data shop in Tygervalley with all the supporting documents to put his contract on his name. All was well...or so we thought. When I received a message about an unpaid account...I immediately phoned Vodacom. I was asked to provide my information for verification purposes. I was then informed that I had provided the incorrect information, that she wasn't allowed to tell me specifically which part was incorrect, and I was advised to go I to a store (again the Data store in Tygervalley). It was here that I found out why my information was incorrect when I called in. My husband's information was on my number....and visa versa. At the beginning of this year (5 January I think), my husband and I went into the store (Data Store Tygervalley) with our IDs and filled in the paperwork to swop our numbers and names. We thought all was sorted. Today I received a message saying that my bill (and the amount that will be deducted from my account tomorrow!!) is R1258. I went onto my Vodapay app and saw a 20GB Data Top Up Line Rental of R500 that I never app**** for. I went into the store (Data Store Tygervalley) and queried this. The service agent couldn't explain why this was on my account as this is belongs to my husband's account. My husband checked his account and it reflects the 20GB Top Up plan as it should. But why is it also on my account? When I asked the sales agent he confirmed that my husband's information is still attached to my number. This has not been changed in a month! He said that he has logged a service ticket querying the 20GB and said that as my account is linked to my husband's information, I would need to provide his information when they call. How ridiculous?! That the swop of information happened in the first place, that we had to go in to swop it, that there is now a 20GB Data topup on both our accounts - one that I didn't apply for and that the information is still swopped a month later. How can this be so difficult? *********** and very troublesome as I have to make time to go into a store all the time. I have been a loyal customer of almost 20years.
