Frustrated with Vodacom & HP
It is with great frustration that I write this review. I took a notebook contract with Vodacom in Chatsworth in January 2017 with a 2 year onsite warranty. In October 2017 the device stops working properly. The power button lights up when it is switched on, makes a sound and goes off and this just continues. I took the device to Vodacom in Chatsworth, only to be told that I must call HP because of the platinum warranty. I called HP several times, they tell me to take the device to Vodacom, go back to Vodacom, I am told it is HP's problem. In the meantime, I am paying for a product that I am not using. Data is not carried over to the next month. Anyways, I keep trying with HP, no joy. They ask me all the questions about the device, even know that date the contract started, but just wont get the repair done. Called them last week, was transferred from person to person, again told to go to Vodacom because onsite warranty is now only 12 months and that Vodacom is responsible for the remaining 12 months. Go back to Vodacom, they say they that only handsets are taken with warranty. I asked Vodacom to please log this with HP as they are selling the HP products. They say they can't. Amazing how they are excited about signing up a contract, yet they can not give you the aftersales support. They only good to you as long as you sign a contract. After that you deal directly with the products supplier. In the meantime, customers are paying their commission and rent. Typical case of passing the buck. Well if nothing is done soon, I will have to take legal action against these companies.
