Frustrated Vodacom Customer( Cape Gate)

Good day,

I took my Huawei P7 in to Vodacom Cape Gate (opposite checkers) for repairs, the hearing speaker is soft irrespective of the volume control on 01/11/16, I received a message saying the phone has been booked in at Tygervalley repair centre on the 03/11/16. On the 15/11/16 I received a message saying the phone has been send to advanced repair centre, I received a message saying the phone has been received by advanced repair centre on the 16/11/16. From the 17/11/16 I’ve been receiving a message that an estimate of R2599 has been generated on job nr. ********** 4.

Then phoned the repair department whereby I was told to speak to the CRM department spoke to a guy there who then said he’ll sort everything out because the phone was under warrantee. I phoned him almost every 3 day wanting to find out what’s happening, on the 1/12/16 I received a message the estimate has been decline, I then phoned him and he went on the system and it said the phone is bend we then went back and forward as to my phone was in perfect condition and on the initial slip I got for the taking in of phone, it said being send in for speaker repair. He then said he’ll take this up with management, phoned him a week after and he said he’s still waiting on them to get back to him on the 14/12/16 they send a message my phone is ready for collection, went to go pick it up couldn’t test the phone because the battery was flat but on the paperwork it stated the speaker was repaired as the consultant explained to me there was a handling fee which I had to pay to get the phone as the consultant wanted to ask his supervisor about this she gave him a stinking comment and he apologised to me as this was in front of the customer. I then took my phone home and tested it out to find that nothing was done to the phone, I phoned the consultant at the CRM department explained to him what’s been happening and he advised me to take the phone back immediately to them to send back to repair.

I received a message saying the phone has been booked in on the 18/12/16 with a new job nr ********** 60 and on the 25/12/16 I’ve been receiving a message that an estimate of R2599 has been generated on job nr. ********** 60 and on the 05/1/17 I received messaged that the phone is not under warrantee.

Now I’m furious because when I send the phone in for repairs it was under warrantee and never bend, it was in perfect condition and just the speaker was soft.

I’m so frustrated at Vodacom’s service I feel I would just ask them to send my phone back and close my account with them.

Dear Vodacom,
What’s the use of you guys responding to my grief, if you’re not helping and just give a F..u attitude, basically saying "That’s just how it is and there’s nothing you can do to change it." It’s actually a shame to see that such a big company have so little regard to it loyal customers and coming from a corporate point of view we’ve never gave our customers such a bad answer without trying our best to get to the bottom of the problem. I’ve now cancelled my contract with you guys and are in the process of cancelling all my company’s contracts with Vodacom sins Im the one dealing with the company cellular contracts
