FRUSTRATED VODACOM CUSTOMER

I have been struggling with my upgrades and billing since April 2019. I am been fighting with Vodacom on numerous occasions and out of 5 items due only 3 items have been resolved and this is only due to my persistent follow ups and speaking to team leaders. The last items i am trying to resolve has been unsuccessful, numerous chats to team leaders and they will not put you through to managers, i received a message for an upgrade in the 20th month of my 24 months which have for the last 16 years being a Vodacom customer. The upgrade was successful as all previous upgrades this was concluded in March .they have now billed me for 2 devices that they did not disclose on the telephone when the upgrade was done. I have requested for a voice recording copy of the day and all i get is pushed from pillar to post and no one can help. i want my credit for the 3 months for the additional handset charged. I also enquired about the usuage of my data - since my upgrade i top up with data of R120 per week on data and i have wifi and fibre at work and at home so how can the usuage be so much when i switch my data off at home and at work. I want someone to explain what is using up all my data and recommend a different add on that will fix the excessive usuage. all they can tell me i need to close all my background apps which i have setup to only work when i am in a wifi area which includes instagram and facebook et. No one can help and i am feeling extremely frustrated with the poor service not once but since my upgrades in March, no one takes accountability and we are treated like just a number even though i have been a loyal customer for years. My details are also on an old system and i will also hold for 10 minutes because they have to access an old system and get another consultant who has access to the old system before they can even start with my query

The vodacom consultant eventually call Monday. He did not have the decency of reading through my complaint and I had to start from scratch explaining myself. He advised that I should know i need to pay for 24 months for a handset and that they do not have to disclose that I will be paying one handset until the 24 months are complete and paying for the new handset at the same time. Even though vodacom called me to upgrade. And even though this has never happend with any of my previous upgrades. The second query was data usage and I queried even though I have the same data package btw my old and new contract. My data is depleted much quicker his response was that it's my fone and that I should manage it effeciently its koy their problem. So much for customer service. As soon as I can get out of my contract I will move to another service provider. Pls see response below from the same consultant that spoke to me:

As per our chat today, I was unable to attend to the other part of your query with you on the call regards to the data usage as you dropped the call. Kindly be advised that data doesn?t just disappear. It?s either being used by open applications, updates, auto video downloads or pictures. You are the owner of your device and should monitor your usage via a Data Monitoring App. There are self-help options available for you to be able to check your data bundle balance via *111# or the My Vodacom App.

In most smartphones there is an option to view consumption of data. You can do the follow below to confirm what consumed your data bundle:

Please note the above was done 2 weeks prior about managing my applications but there was still no change in data consumption

Thanks
