FRUSTRATED CORPORATE VODACOM CLIENT

After numerous attempts over the past five months to sort out an issue with Vodacom to supply us with a credit note, we have not received anything up to date. On the 14th of March we logged a call with Vodacom after we received a shocking invoice of R16,369.11 for 3G card data usage. This number had a limit on so it should have cut off when the limit was reached. On the 14th of April we did a follow up after we received the statement and there was no credit processed, instead another insane invoice for the amount of R26,551.71, after the person responsible for the 3G confirmed that the card was locked in his office and has not been in use for more than a month. Again we requested an explanation from Vodacom how it was possible for this account to go so high after we requested that this number should be locked. Katlego (no surname) from Vodacom responded that we exceeded our limit on the 17th of April and that they do not deal with disputes, no additional contact numbers or email addresses was supply to direct us to the relevant department. Darius Tabane from Vodacom then rep**** on my email where I expressed my disappointment in Vodacom and Katlego’s response that he will have a discussion with his staff and will set up a meeting with us, to date, there was no meeting scheduled. On the 18 of April I send an email requesting Vodacom to explain why the hard lock was removed by initials: csh, after we made it very clear that the lock on this number should not be removed. Deborha then advised that she will calculate the credit on these two invoices, and she supp**** us with a credit note number ********** 82. On the 11th of May we received yet another statement with no credit note on it. David Mphongo from Vodacom then advised that the credit was loaded and that they are awaiting a second approval. The 21st of May David Mphongo confirmed that they are still waiting for approval from senior management after we did yet another follow up. On the 3rd of July statement, we received a very ridiculous credit note of R110.96 where we expected at least ± R40,000.00 It’s the 16th of August, does it really take Vodacom more than five months to sort out a query and to approve a credit note? We spend far over a million Rand per year on Vodacom, but apparently that is small change for Vodacom and they gave a very clear impression that we as the customer do not matter. Please note that we will be weighing up alternative business partners to support our corporate company into the future as it is quite clear that Vodacom does not have customer care as a business mission. Seems that the customer will always come last with Vodacom, as long as Vodacom can charge a bill to the customer that is all that matters – extremely poor service, and for us being part of a multinational company we will ensure that it is noted within our 40 worldwide entities that Vodacom should never be the answer to any local needs. Regards A very unhappy client
