FRUSTRATED AT VODACOMS IMCOMPETENCE

I had a Vodacom contract 8 + years ago. It was paid up and I needed the contract cancelled. I personally drove to Vodacom Midrand to hand in a letter of cancellation of this contract, I was then reassured that it will be done. As time passed, I was advised that I am owing X amount. I was then contacted for the amount due but could not pay due to being unemployed. I was then contacted in 2010 to make a payment arrangement, at this time I was still unemployed.

I then contacted Vodacom a week ago after I noted that recorded on my ITC record. I called Vodacom, they have advised me that this was the last they called me, they then stated that they have handed me over to three debt collectors and I can confirm that no one has called me from the attorneys, I requested proof of this, they then said I will need to contact them directly, the supervisor Ashwin (Contract cancellations) from Vodacom said he will send me their contact details, a week has passed and still no email, I confirmed my email address to ensure its sent to the correct person. Still with no luck,

Bottom line is I have never been contacted from attorneys, never been summonsed, or even contacted since 2010 – how is it that I have to pay fees which is R5000 +? I then received a statement that Stipulates that I owe R1999. As far as I’m concerned, this is prescribed debt to which I am not willing to settle.

Kindly note that this will be vigorously defended as I am willing to proceed to court on this case. Can Someone – anyone that has a head on their shoulders from Vodacom call me as I want this matter written off and my ITC cleared.

Thank You

Bryson - ********** 081 / **********
