From pillar to post - the VODACOM way

I phoned Vodacom online the first time on the 20th May 2016 to upgrade the 3 phones I have on contract. Two of them was ellegible but the other 1 not , only on 1st of June 2016. So I ordered the first 2 but the phones were out of stock and would only be available on 31st of May 2016. The 1st of June she phoned back to ask if I want the third phone on the same contract and phone. I was impressed! Yes thank you.

Two weeks later and I have not heard anything and the phones were not delivered. I phoned on the 15th of June to find out what is going on. I was put on hold for several times and the whole excersize took 45 minutes. I was informed that the phones will be delivered on Friday 17th of June. Wednesday the 22nd of June a box arrived with only 1 phone inside. Phoned again and the reply after several hold on's the answer was that those 2 phones will be issue on the first of July 2016. On Saterday the 25th my new phone phone stopped functioning. I reported it on Sunday morning and after having to hold on for more than a hour and being cut off several times. When i reported the phone i spoke with 7 different people (tranferred from pillar to post) on the phone and nobody could help. On 28 June I got a Number for the out of box guarantee and that VODACOM will come and collect the faulty phone. Today is day 9 and nobody has come round to collect the phone. I also made several calls to the call centre - but alas no help at all. I also went to Menlyn VODACOM shop but was advised that they could not assist and that i had to get a Out of Box guarantee number.

In the past it took 1-2 weeks but this time it was terrible.
