**********ly taken account handed over to debt collectors

A contract was taken on my mom's account in 2018 and she stated that the contract was not taken by her. She was in contact with the ***** Team during investigation and eventually they told her that the contract was taken **********ly. Recently (2020) she has been getting calls from debt collectors to make payments for this contract. How can she pay for something that she never received or used. This contract was **********ly taken by a Vodacom staff member but now my mom is expected to make payment for it, how is that possible or make sense. Even when she told the debt collectors about this they still want her to make payments. It's very disturbing that Vodacom would actually hand over a account on a matter resolved in 2018 and not not once after that did Vodacom want payments from her but now she must pay. There is absolutely no reason for this kind of behavior on Vodacom's behalf but they should have dealt with the culprit instead.
