********** upgrade on my account and no response from Vodacom

An upgrade was done on my account without my authorisation / signature. I have tried contacting Vodacom numerous times, via different channels to ask Vodacom to undo their mistake but they are not responding or just say they are looking into it (when they said it would take 5 days to look in to). It has been 18 days and they have done NOTHING. I have never in my life been so frustrated at a company. Vodacom I am sorry to say but your service is by far the worst I have ever had.

Below is what has been happening:

I received a call from people who identified themselves as Vodacom asking if I want to upgrade, I indicated that I do not want to upgrade. The person then said that because I am a good Vodacom customer they will give me a free tablet, I said that was fine if it was free but I do not want to upgrade.

Then a few days later on the 7th of March 2017 I received an SMS from Vodacom stating that my upgrade has been completed. I called Vodacom on 082 111 when I saw the SMS to tell them that I did not request or authorise an upgrade on my account . Since then I have received 4 different references numbers via sms, two on the 7th of March, and two on tha 8th of March). I tried calling them again a few times, but they said they are still looking into it.

Then I received a call on the 9th of March 2017 saying they want to deliver the tablet, I indicated that I do not want the tablet as I did not want an upgrade. After questioning me as to why I do not want the tablet, the man indicated that he will tell them to cancel it.

Still having no response, on the 16th March 2017 I logged a ***** complaint online explaining that an upgrade was processed on my Vodacom number. The Vodacom customer care office emailed me from ********** sking for verification to request information on the account, I supp**** the verification on the same day, and tehy said teh investigation i still in progress and they will let me know.

On the 23rd March 2017 I went to a Vodacom store at the Garden Route Mall in George, the lady there advised me to go to the George Vodacom regional office in York street. So on the 23rd march 2017, I went to the George Vodacom regional office explaining the above. I was told that I need to submit a copy of my ID and an affidavit indicating that an upgrade has been processed on my name - I then went to the Police station got the affedavit and sent what was requested. Again I was told she will forward it to the relevant person and get back to me.

On the 24th of March the shop associated with vodacom who authorised the upgrade (Chats Cellular) called asking why I refused to accept teh tablet. The lady rudely asked why I gave my address to deliver if I did not want un upgrade - I explained to her that I was told it was free because I was a good Vodacom customer. She said she will track down the recording of the call - I said she shoudl please do that as she will hear that I indicated numerous times that i do NOT want an upgrade. I did'nt hear back from her.

I have literally tried everything I can, but Vodacom has not responded. One of the customer care agents said it is clear there is ***** on my account as I have not signed anything, but still nothing has been done.

For clarity, I would NOT like the upgrade, I would like Vodacom to undo the upgrade with no costs to my account, and to place me back in the position I was in before the unauthorised upgrade was processed.
