********** subscriptions (LAVAMOBI) to my account, vadocom claims its not problem.

I’m writing this review to inform anyone that is thinking to make use on any vodacom service to think twice. RED IS FOR DANGER...

On 20 May 2017 had a look at my bill so far, I noticed that it was R200 more than what it was supposed to be.

I phoned the call centre and was told that I subscribed to a content service called ********** />
I have never subscribed to any such service nor will I. I have not received any SMS/notification confirming my subscription. I also have never received any service/content from this or any other content service provider.

The call centre lady (Thabile) said that there is nothing she can do about this except unsubscribe me from this service. This is really frustrating as I’m now stuck with the bill and vodacom smiles all the way to the bank. They refuse to take responsibility for which was clearly an information security flaw/breach on their system. I have escalated (1- ********** ********** ) this matter, but waiting for a response, it has been 10 days.

This morning (28th May 2017) I had a look at my bill so far and found that another (LAVAMOBI charge) went off again.

I also asked the call centre agent (Thabile) if there was any way to protect my account from these ********** subscriptions for example disallowing any of these services to be loaded on my account. She said that there was not.

This leaves any vodacom customers vulnerable to ***** as anybody now can load debits on your account and there is nothing you can do about this.

BEWARE OF VODACOM!

********** Please have these charges reversed and block any of these services for running on my account.

Next step: Social Media!!!!

ref number is 1- ********** **********
