We have been Vodacom customers for about 20years from our very first cell phone account. We now have a family and our children also have vodacom contracts. All our business phone contracts have also been through vodacom. But this is about to change . We had an ******* simswap done on one of our cell phone accounts , this was not authorized by us , which resulted in massive internet banking ***** on our side with all our bank accounts being emptied and overdraft maxed out to the limit. We approached vodacom on three occasions in the past week to find out how this could be possible given the fact that whenever we need to change anything on our side there is always a substantial amount of paperwork, signatures and documentation needed.The consistent reaction from vodacom has been one of avoidance and just shrugging of shoulders. The loss on our side and subsequent debt on overdraft facilities totals an amount of just under R500 000. never mind the huge inconvenience of having all our accounts frozen and no cash available to live on. Vodacom has a responsibility to take care of us as long standing clients and at the moment there is little or no effort what so ever to explain how this could have been possible..???? We cannot trust our connection with you anymore if it results in such destruction, and if our accounts are exposed to results like this .
