********** sim swap and failure to reconnect. People at vodacom do not know what they are doing

On the 2nd of December I got a notification from vodacom to say that a sim swap has been initiated on my number and if you did not initiate please notify vodacom which I did and after their usual security checks they assured me that such an action will not happen. At around nine that evening a sim swap was effected leaving me without connection. The next morning there was an attempt at my bank

The next day I had to counteract that swap by effecting a genuine sim swap. After the three hour wait for reconnection I was still offline and that lasted for five days with limited services, like no internet connection etc

Thirteen days later a call center agent called me saying they got a request from an imposter who was claiming to be me and they were at the airport and they needed to activate sms roaming which I once again rejected and again a was assured that they would not permit that. Needless to say that too was granted and another sim swap happened.

The next day I once again did yet another sim swap which got me to write to you. I have not been to work today dealing with the losers at vodacom. To this day I can't receive calls and my people can't get hold me, security people can't get hold of me in the event of security breaches at home, my bank accounts are kept on hold and I am not reachable and people who should get payments from me.

My small investigation tells me that the sim swaps have been authorized by an official from vodacom and twice as well. I spoke to a Sheryl Moodley from the ceo's office who demanded a section 205 from the police, let alone that the police refused to open such a case saying vodacom should run an internal investigation to get to the answer

I am very angry at these developments as I was ****** twice in 13 days and it seems like business as usual at vodacom

i am more convinced this time around more than first time that vodacom has no clue as to how to run their business at our cost and we paying them and they overexpose us to ******** activities of this country

They should put more stringent rules on the sim swap and yet it happens all the time.

My feeling is that if there was a cyber crime lawyer who is willing to take this matter up, I would most appreciate, over and above your imput on this matter

Hoping to hear from you at your convenience
