********** practices at mobile carrier

Good day, it has come to my attention that Vodacom has beccome very ******* and dishonest in that they are making changes to their user agreements/contracts without users knowing it.

I tried to resolve an issue I had with Telkom, by phoning 10213, my cellphone gave the following audible message through the earpiece: "You have less than R2.99 left in your account, please recharge your account now" or something to that nature.

I checked my balance and had over R1042 in my account as I have a contract which gives me R200 airtime per month for phonecalls.

I phoned Vodacom and explained my situation, however not stating the number I dialed when I had the problem.

The agent sent through new settings to my phone and told me to wait 15 min. before attempting any phonecalls. I followed the instructions and tried to phone 10213 again. When one has no money left on your cellphone the phone does phone the number you are dialing, but ends the call immediately. The situation I just explained happened.

The vodacom agent phoned me back about two minutes later to follow up if everything is working now, to which I rep****: "Nope". The vodacom agent then asked me what number I am dialing to which I rep**** 10213. The vodacom agent then told me those numbers that I'm dialing will not go through on my R200 per month airtime, I have to recharge my account and use the recharge airtime to phone 10213. So vodacom is obviously **********, (*****: noun: wrongful or ******** deception intended to result in financial or personal gain).

I cannot use the airtime (money), for which I'm paying for month after month, as a loyal customer. They are de*****ing me of my monthly airtime. The airtime allotted to me per month should be able to phone any number I wish to phone. What utter ******* from vodacom.

Where have you ever heard such nonsense. I WILL PERSUE THE MATTER FURTHER.
