********** Misrepresentation Vodacom Store

This is my first post on hellopeter. I am extremely upset after putting up with such dishonesty by a Vodacom store within the Mooirivier Mall in Potchefstroom Northwest. There are two Vodacom stores inside this mall and the complaint is with the conduct of the store nextdoor to Shoprite Checkers. They verbally quoted on a 6GB Huawei P30 Lite for the same price as the other store in this mall R5499. However after concluding the transaction the following day asking for this same phone they gave me the 4GB variant instead which I discovered inside the phone settings later on.The store management is now disagreeing saying there is no 6 GB variant of the P30 Lite. What annoys me is that the sales person verbally said 6 GB. I sat down next to her PC where she had a full breakdown of the phones in store together with their specifications.I wrote down the details of the specification on the service ticket I received at her desk which indicates 6 GB. I even asked her again after making the payment and her opening and inspecting the product for damages and fica registration and she said 128 GB memory and 6 GB RAM. According to my knowledge of the Consumer Protection Act this is misleading advertising and also constitutes ********** misrepresentation. The management of the store are not willing to accept accountability. I have lodged a complaint with the CPA office and hope other readers become aware of such dishonest practices.
