********** line added to my existing account

I have had a Vodacom cellphone and 3G contract for many years. On the 17th July 2017 I discovered that Vodacom had debited my account without my permission with an amount of R372.94. When I contacted the call centre I was told that another line had been added to my existing account. I did not authorise this line addition and have absolutely no knowledge of this. I reversed the debit order with my bank, and when I phoned back a few days later to find out what was happening with the case, I was then told that I should make an affidavit at the police station and send it through to Vodacom with my ID. It was only on the third phone call that someone eventually told me that the original reference number I had been given was missing digits. Apparently the full reference number is: 1- ********** ********** . I was also informed that it takes Vodacom at least 14 working days to even begin investigating the case and my case had not been looked at by anyone at Vodacom yet. It is now the 1st August and Vodacom have again tried to debit my account with a larger amount than is actually due. In the meantime my other debit orders are now in danger of bouncing because of Vodacom’s ********** practice. I have once again had to reverse the debit order, and have paid the actual outstanding amount via EFT. According to the Vodacom online statement (I have not to date received a statement via email reflecting this additional line), there are amounts of close to R5 000 which are outstanding because of this unauthorised line addition. I have been told by your call centre that I must pay the outstanding amounts and when Vodacom eventually decides to investigate the matter they will refund me. I find this practice totally unacceptable. Just how long does Vodacom expect me to fund ***** which was due to their negligence or at worst perpetrated internally by one of their employees? I fully intend to cancel my contract with Vodacom once this outstanding amount has been cleared from my name, and I would appreciate it if Vodacom could do something about this before this outstanding debt negatively affects my credit score.
