********** insurances charges

I contacted Vodacom on Facebook a week ago to establish why, (in the middle of of contract period), I am suddenly being charged for insurance (2 months in one go), after I specifically signed my new contact in April 2016 to exclude insurance. I would have prefered to do this via email but they have taken away this option.

A response was quickly received informing me they would like into it, and I was to supply them with my credit card details so they could refund the charge(s). I was not happy supplying my credit card details and asked that they rather correct the error to avoid it happening again, and pass a credit note for the charges on the current invoice. As the debit order was not due to go off my account until the beginning of March I was not going to be out of pocket, only irritated by the time wasted trying to sort it out.

The consultant dealing with the query was not ahppy doing this and pushed for my credit card details, informing me that"if I thought I could do a better job then I should come and sit at their desk and do it". !?!

A few day later and still no feedback, so I sent another message to find out what is going on, and was told they were sorry for the delay and would get back to me. This didn't happen.

Another few days later, ie today and I thought I would follow up again, only to see that I have been blocked from making any more enquiries and follow ups. Hence having no other option by to post it here.

Seriously Vodacom? I was trying to play nice but you are making this very difficult.

Reviewer Update

It has now been nearly a week and still no feedback has been received besides your ridiculous automated response. My debit order is due to go off on the 1st of March, and should the amount include these charges I will go to the police station and open a case of theft against Vodacom.
