********** Device charges and admin fees

I tried to do a handset upgrade online, was contacted by an agent from Vodacom Online, he said there would be no admin fee payable as I was doing the upgrade online. I wasn't sure of the device I had chosen and the agent wasn't able to give me enough information. He said I could cancel the upgrade when they call to confirm delivery. After 3 weeks of no confirmation call, and I had decided to get a device elsewhere, I noticed that my "Bill so far" was unusually high. When I consulted my invoice for the month, I noticed not only had Vodacom processed my upgrade, but they are charging me R150 "Upgrades Admin Fee" and for a device I have not received. (They have not confirmed the delivery).

When contacting the Vodacom Online call center, I have spoken to a supervisior called Marcus, who assured me this would be investigated. He said he'd contact within the same day. It has now been more than 24 hours and I have not heard from Marcus with an update.

I told them I do NOT want to be tide to another 24 month contract with Vodacom. I only want to continue with a month-to-month.

Reviewer Update

I called Vodacom Online sales on Friday 13 January 2017 to find out where my device was because the sales agent had told me on Tuesday 10th January that I'd have my device by the end of the week. The agent who answered my call on Friday said the order had not been confirmed yet.

I DO NOT WISH TO CONTINUE WITH THE ORDER. I would like to cancel the order. I'm not able to cancel with anyone because only the confirmations department have access to do so and they do not take incoming calls. Seriously??

So if anyone from Vodacom with authority to do more than speak on the phone is reading this, please cancel my upgrade order with immediate affect and reverse ALL charges related from my bill BEFORE you debit my bank account on the 28th January!
