********** DEBITS BY VODACOM WITH NO RESOLUTION AFTER ALMOST A YEAR

I called Vodacom in August 2019 to cancel a contract as I was moving to Cell C. The Retentions agent called me back over a few days trying to counter Cell C's offer, but they were unable to match the offer, and I confirmed cancellation. I then ported the number to Cell C. Vodacom immediately started invoicing me for a number I did not have, and when I contacted them to enquire, I was told that if I know nothing about this number, I must email an affidavit and my ID copy to their ***** department. This went on for some months, with me evEn going to the Cornubia store in December and being made promises by Julius, which never materialised. The request was continually closed, with no one able to provide me with info. At some point this year, I was informed by a Customer Care Team Leader that this number was actually a ghost/dummy number that Vodacom was using to invoice me for the number I had cancelled in August 2019. Since then, I have spent hours a day trying to get this resolved and my money refunded. All Vodacom staff seem able to do is pass the buck and no one helps. I have eventually managed to get this number cancelled, however Vodacom needs to refund me all money debited since August 2019 for this line. Staff are rude, no one listens, and I find that I have to tell every single person the same story over and over again, with each person advising me of the same process that needs to be completed, and every single one of them starting the same process, but no one actually resolving it. Customer Services blames Retentions, Retentions says its not their business and I need to speak to Accounts, and Accounts is a department that exists as a void and cannot be contacted. EVER. I probably have about 10 different reference numbers, all smsed to me by Vodacom, but one person can never trace the next person's reference number. I was eventually 'assisted' by a very rude agent named Jacqueline who's manager is Lenah. Jacqueline refused to give me her surname, because should I complain on social media, I must not have her surname(?). Jacqueline was very abrupt and snippy, and again, started the process from scratch. She did keep me updated, to a point only, and came back to me at the middle of September to say that they are unable to trace any calls from 2019 where I cancelled the line, and the onus is on me to prove that I cancelled, and since the line was cancelled on the only call they could find of mine in July this year, no refund is due. This is utter BS. I as a consumer have no responsiblity or onus to prove a recording that the service provider has obligation to keep and trace now. Jacqueline was supposed to send it back to the call retrieval department, and contact me with feedback. This was 2 and a half weeks ago. To date, NO ONE FROM VODACOM HAS CONTACTED ME. I NEED THIS RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY, BEFORE FURTHER STEPS ARE TAKEN.

VODACOM IS PATHETIC, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS WHO PAY THEIR SALARIES, AND SEEM TO MAKE A POINT OF EMPLOYING *********** HUMANS WHO CANNOT DO THE MOST BASIC OF HUMAN FUNCTIONS - LISTEN!
