********** contracts on my account
On the 31st of August, I noticed three additional debit orders from Vodacom going off against my bank account. I immediately contacted Vodacom and were told that they are for the three contracts taken out on my account at Vodashop Canalwalk on the 26th of August. Not a single sms or email notification was sent to me about these. I was completely unaware of this and haven't even been near Cape Town in the last 4 years. This was obviously ***** and had to be resolved (Reference Number: 1- ********** ********** ). Vodacom said they will investigate.
On the 13th of September, I phoned the Vodacom ***** department to follow up and was told that the call was closed. I had to open a new call (Reference Number: 1- ********** ********** ) and start the process again as absolutely nothing was done.
On the 20th of September, the invoices were cancelled, but it seems like some of the contracts were still left open. This resulted in additional costs being loaded onto my account, which resulted in my account going into arrears.
On the 19th of October (while on work standby) my number was disconnected without notice. After spending 17min on the phone with customer care, I still had to pay the arrears amount and a re-connection fee to get my number working again.
From here on I manually paid my account as it was evident that the debit order (that was running for many years) isn't working anymore).
On the 10th of November (on my birthday), Vodacom called me to complain about the arrears amount. I told the person that Vodacom is still busy with the ***** investigation and that my account isn't correct. Two hours later, my number got disconnected again. ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! Really Vodacom?? And again I had to pay the arrears amount and was charged a number re-connection fee.
On the 27th of November I tried my luck again with the customer care line but was told that the issue cannot be resolved over the phone and that I had to go to the nearest vodacom branch with proof of identification. I then went to Vodashop Secunda Mall where I was told that they cannot do anything and that the accounts department needs to investigate. I asked for a reference number but the person told me it will be sent to me later in the day. I am still waiting for this...
So during this whole ordeal of the last three months, I have had to keep in contact with Vodacom. Not a single time has Vodacom called me to give me feedback; The only contact was from Vodacom was to demand payment on my arrears account.
So Vodacom, is this how you treat loyal customers?
The three ********** contracts are: - ********** 6965 - ********** 4961 - ********** 9724
Invoices still to be fixed: - H7-5PZXV - H7-5TVWE
