********** Contract opened on my name at Vodacom Shop 64 on West Street in Durban
I am utterly disgusted and disappointed this morning my cellphone buzzed with 3 text one after another for unknown debits going off my bank account for an amount of R490.80. I went to my bank Absa on Smith Street, Durban and they said I need to go to Vodacom and get them to reverse this transaction. I immediately crossed over to the Vodacom shop I've seen on West Street Durban at the Old Mutual Centre. The lady I spoke to told me that I had opened a contract the previous week upon showing my ID so she can look up on the system. She told me to come back with a 3 months bank statement of which I asked as I didn't understand why they would need that but she couldn't answer me clearly, certified copy of my ID and affidavit. I went back to work disgruntled and an hour later /went back there requesting to speak to the Manager who was more concerned about their stock being unaccounted for then assisting me. As he realised he was aggravating me he referred me to the "manageress" who reluctantly gave her name as Anele Ngwenya. She was very rude and not helpful at all. Apparently said contract was opened on 19/11/2019 and at this particular shop (which is information I received from the Vodacom call centre I had previously called into). When I requested to see the documents that I supposedly signed to apply for this contract she refused, she did not want to provide the consultants details that made the sale and worse she tells me I have to go to the Vodacom shop at the Gateway to lodge a complaint with this above-mentioned documents. I asked to call Vodacom from their shop and they further refused saying they are more of a repair shop whereas they sell contracts etc. The only information that she gave me was an incorrect address that they supposedly had on their system and address which also is not mine. I am disgustedly disappointed with this supposed manageress as she made me feel like a ******** instead of assisting me whether it be to disprove or prove my allegation in a professional and customer sufficient manner. The manner she behaved and attended to me was a clear indication that she knows something if she is not part and parcel of whatever **** there is out there. I called their head office and advised to call email to their ***** and disputes department which I am currently busy with. I shall not rest until these ******** are brought to justice
