********** Cellphone upgrade

To think the only time I ever go onto Hello Peter is to complain about Vodacom. I really must be the unluckiest person in the world. A iPhone 11 Pro (I don't even know what that phone looks like) has been taken out under my contract. Apparently I upgraded to this phone on 27 Feb 2020. When I picked this up on my debit orders and when I noticed I am no longer receiving my monthly statements from Vodacom, I tried contacting their Customer Care number. I was on hold for 30min and was sent from pillar to post. After deciding to leave the safely of my house and drive to a Vodacom store in Canal Walk, I was told to go to a Police Station to get an affidavit. Are you kidding me! In this Covid19 age? Stand in a queue to write an affidavit for something I did not authorise? Are there no security checks in place on Vodacom's side before issuing out a R30k phone? This smacks of an inside job and I want someone to be accountable. I want a refund immediately. I want a copy of that call (because apparently the upgrade was done telephonically). I want the details of where this phone was delivered because I want to pursue a ******** case against the responsible person and negligence on Vodacom's side. And I want compensation for my time, petrol and the risk of going to the store and police station when Covid19 is rife outside. This is the last straw!

There has still not been any reply from your team regarding my query from last month. I provided all the information you required from me and even risked going out to the Police Station to get an affidavit. Your ***** helpline is a joke as I keep getting an automated response that "Due to Emergency Protocol" you are unable to take my call. Are you kidding me? Another debit order has since gone off my account and this issue is still unresolved. No one has called/emailed me to give me an update on my query. This leaves a very bad taste in my mouth , not to mention the financial inconvenience I am having to endure.
