********** Billing of a Discontinued number after settlement payments and Blacklisting.

I had a top-up contract with Vodacom from 2017, the contract was renewed in 2019 without my permission. Vodacom claims I was contacted by one of their consultants who I gave permission to renew the contract. To date the recording of this interaction has not been given to me. I lodged a dispute with vodacom ***** department. I followed the requirements and did an affidavit and sent through to them, my issue was not resolved, the resolution I wanted was for the number to be a pre-paid number, for Vodacom to stop billing me.

The billing continued, I am not even using the number, I stopped paying and my account was handed over to legal and I was blacklisted for a number that is not in service but is still being billed.

On the 10th September 2021, after finding out that I was black listed by Vodacom, I contacted their customer service and legal department, I settled the listed amount to have my name cleared. I emailed the proof of payment to their email, I called again after 48 hours and it was confirmed that the proof of payment was received. I was told that I will get a clearance certificate within 5 working days from the receipt of the proof of payment, to date, the certificate has not been received.

To top off this mess, I am still being billed, I received an voice stating that I owe R200 on the same account.

My account number is I***.

When I call the customer care I do not get assistance. I am stuck and do not know what to do anymore.

ANYONE OUT THERE AVOID VODACOM LIKE THE PLAQUE, YOU CAN NEVER TERMINATE YOUR CONTRACT.

I LOOK FORWARD TO VODACOM'S FEEDBACK, if it at all they will even attend to this.
