********** Billing

On the 5th of May 2017, I went to a Vodacom shop to do a transfer of ownership of my current number, as well as a downgrade, as my contract ended in May.

The contract I chose to downgrade to was the UChoose Flexi 110 for R79 pm. I paid R150 for the "Upgrade" and was told the Transfer of ownership will complete within a week.

Fast forward to 18 May, I notice that I'm only able to make emergency calls. I logged onto My Vodacom to check my bill in order to ensure that my account hasn't been comrpomised somehow. Instead, I see two charges for R96 (excl. vat) on my Bill for May.

The details of the charges being the UChoose Flexi 110. As my contract has not yet been activated with the UChoose 110 Flexi plan, as well as the amount not reflecting the expected (AND SIGNED FOR) R79, instead of reporting the *****, I called Customer Care.

After explaining the situation to a representative, I requested that the contract be cancelled immediately and the number to be made prepaid, as the amount is not what was agreed upon. The person told me that the account was not on my name as of yet, and that only the main account holder can do the cancellation. I decided to wait a day to see if it has been completed, but still not.

After calling almost every day, until the 24th of May, I decided to ask the previous account holder to cancel the contract for me, before it is actually active. The feedback was that due to the pending transfer, the cancellation cannot be made (It takes 20 days?) We called the shop where the transfer was initally app**** for and asked for it to be cancelled, so the contract can be ended.

I called an hour later, and suddenly, the transfer was complete, and a new transfer application filed from my account to the previous account. I requested a cancellation of this application (Not even approved?) and the cancellation of the contract, as it was now on my name. I was redirected to the accounts team to ensure that no outstanding amount is owed to Vodacom, and this was CONFIRMED to be R0. After this I was finally rid of the contract and was able to do a sim swop to another ISP.

Come 4 July, I receive a deibt order notification of Vodacom debiting my account for R263.81 more than expected. I called Customer Care and the bill was analyzed for me. Turns Out, I am being charged for not only the ********** R110 (UChoose Flexi 110) for MAY, but ALSO the unapproved Application for Transfer of Ownership back to the previous account.

I was redirected to the solutions team, where the person was also surprised at the charges on my account, but before resolving it, I needed to head out for a meeting. I requested that I be phoned back with the resolution wihtin 30 minutes(9am, I've been on the call for 44mins already), but no feedback has been received as of yet.

I will not hesitate to take this further if this will not be resolved.

Received an e-mail asking for details, I will expect feedback before 12pm today, and a resolution before the end of the day.

I will open a case of theft by tomorrow otherwise.

I refuse to spend another cent on this issue, be it airtime, petrol, time or anything else.
