********** behaviour of Vodacom Agents and contravention of POPI Act

I upgraded my Vodacom mobile account in December 2017 through Elite Mobile. I never gave permission for them to add additional services to my contract. I only consented to the R150 upgrade fee. Vodacom deducted the R150 upgrade fee from my account in January 2018 so in my view the upgrade fee was paid to Vodacom. Since the upgrade I was debited on a monthly basis for Rescuebox, Hotspotter and TechTrace. I have each month reversed the debit orders but had to pay an additional cost to my bank as a result. This month a fee of R150 was debited to my account which I also reversed. Today I called Elite Mobile to tell them that I have never giving my permission for these services, that I am not giving permission now and will never give permission in the future. They must therefore stop sending deductions through on my account. The Call Centre Agent then undertook to ensure that these services are cancelled. To my utter amazement I have just now received 3 sms's welcoming me to these three services. This is ********** and ******* behaviour. Vodacom SHOULD NEVER HAVE PROVIDED MY INFORMATION TO THEIR AGENTS (Elite Mobile) since I have never consented that they can share my information with anybody (Refer to the POPI Act). Elite Mobile is an agent of Vodacom and therefore I hold Vodacom responsible for the ******* deductions that their agent is making from my account and I expect Vodacom to ensure that these deductions must stop with immediate effect.
