********** Activities by Rewards Company

In April I received a sms on one of my Vodacom numbers informing me that my application for new account was successful and that the courier company would be contacting me with delivery details of my new package.

I immediately contacted the Vodacom helpline as the sms states I should if I did not order the package. I was then informed that Vodacom could not assist me and that I should contact the Rewards company. I immediately contacted the courier company and stopped the delivery to an address which is NOT my address and informed them that it was *****!!!!!

I contacted the Rewards company and asked for the recording of where I had agreed to this package. We dealt with Wesley at the Rewards company and was told that their investigation found that I did in fact agree to this contract but that I could cancel the contract if I wished.

I have requested this recording as I have not authorised any new contracts on my account. I did however continue with the cancellation as per conversation with Wesley at the Rewards company.

Last week my wife who is using one of my Vodacom numbers received a call from the Rewards company. She told them that she did not wish to engage with anyone in the company due to the ********** account that was opened on my name.

We are now back to square 1 again as we have AGAIN received an sms stating that our application was successful etc.

I am a VODACOM client and I would like to know how it is possible for someone to get access to my details and without any effort and method of verification open a new account on my name and load a debit order. What is more is that I do not have access to these so called investigations and voice recordings where I have apparently ordered and authorised these contracts.

Vodacom I expect you as my service provider to get to the bottom of this as this is unacceptable. I will also furthermore be reporting this matter to the National Credit Regulator and cancel all 3 of my contracts with Vodacom.
