In 2016 I requested the canccellation of my top up account R135. The Vodacom consultant at Cresta told me that a quotation had to be done of the remaining months of the contract which had to be paid. I requested the quotation and paid the amount in order to cancel the contract. I requested the consultant to revert my sim to a prepaid account once the contract naturally expired in February 2017. I was however contacted in Feb 2017 by Vodacom claiming that my account was in arrears. I explained that I had requested it to be cancelled, paid the contract. They have now blocked my phone and claim that I have to pay R600+ to get the sim unblocked. This is *****! Sounds like a good Sunday Carte Blanche case especially if combined with all the ******* sim swaps being done at Vodacom in order to commit banking *****.
