********** Account

Dear Vodacom

It pains me to have to write this post. I have never felt the need to publicly complain about any service, but at this stage I feel helpless. This is truly a last resort.

On the 1st of September I noticed an unusual Vodacom debit on my ***. I immediately called your help line to enquire. A consultant informed me that a new account had just been opened. At this point I explained that this was certainly not opened by me and that I suspected ********** activity. The consultant went on to explain that the new account was opened at Canal Walk in Cape Town. This confirmed my suspicion that ***** had been committed. I asked the consultant to immediately block the number and begin investigations - she agreed to this.

Unfortunately 3 weeks later (21 September) a further R4000 was deducted from my account. When I followed up I was informed that the account had not been blocked and that I needed an affidavit. I comp**** with this requirement and immediately submitted the necessary documentation.

Upon further investigation I have picked up another suspicious data account on my contract. Which I also flagged to Vodacom.

3 Weeks later I still have had no meaningful information from Vodacom. My almost daily calls are met with words of comfort and "understanding" but absolutely no action.

I can write a book on the lack of service I have received, but the above will suffice.

I have been a loyal Vodacom customer for over 10 years but have been appalled by how this matter has been handled.

I would appreciate resolution, monetary compensation and feedback from someone in the business with immediate effect.

Regards Eben de Jongh
