********** Account

Vodacom has been suspending my cellphone service for consecutive days last week after i have been calling their customer service and the service be reinstated for a day then next its suspended again. Another agent i spoke to told me that the reason why they kept suspending my number it was because of an outstanding balance of R 10 000.00 that i owe to Vodacom as i have taken 2 x iPhones 6S on contracted.

I was shocked to hear this because i never took up any iPhone 6S contract with Vodacom be it at their outlets, online or through telesales. At this point i suspected ********** activity and i requested to speak to the manager and i spoke to Zanele Khambule who advised that the application was processed at Vodacom shop BT Ngebs Mall in Mthatha. I went to Vodacom BT Ngebs Mall and spoke to the manager there whom she also checked about the application on their system and while i was sitting with her she confirmed that the iPhones have just been delivered at Pretoria and further advised that the application was not processed at her store.

On the 28th September 2016 at 09:03am I was contacted by a lady by the name of Euphracia MMetle from Vodacom head office to confirm the application made under my name, I advised the lady that I have never app**** for any new contract or upgrade contract with Vodacom however the application was processed further.

On Saturday the 01 Oct 2016 i discovered that Vodacom has sent a debit order instruction of R 10 339.73 to my account and that failed due to insufficient funds. This also caused some unnecessary charges from the bank for failing to honor the debit order.

The bottom line here is that Vodacom runs ********** accounts and debit money from people illegitimately, further suspend cellphone service for no valid reason. This is unacceptable.
